Questions the house commonly receives.
What is the difference between a pocket watch and a fob watch?
In everyday use they are the same thing. "Fob" first meant the small trouser pocket, or the short chain or ribbon, used to carry the watch, and the name stuck to the watch itself. In the USA, "pocket watch" is the more common term.
Are your pocket watches antiques?
No. They are new watches made in a vintage style, so you get the look of an old fob watch with a new case and movement. They are ready to wear and carry, rather than a restoration project or a piece to keep behind glass.
Should I choose a mechanical or a quartz pocket watch?
A mechanical watch is wound by hand using the crown and needs no battery, which collectors and traditionalists enjoy. A Swiss quartz watch runs on a battery, so you set it and leave it. Our Classique collection in Swiss Pocket Watches is mostly Swiss quartz.
Do you ship pocket watches to the USA?
Yes. Orders ship with tracking, and prices are in US dollars. Standard tracked shipping is US$9.99 and free on orders over US$149, and Express shipping is US$19.99.
